Anti-Aging
According
to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
"The United States is on the brink of a longevity revolution. By 2030,
the number of older Americans will have more than doubled to 70 million,
or one in every five Americans. Although the risk of disease and
disability clearly increases with advancing age, poor health is not
an inevitable consequence of aging.”
Human Growth Hormone
Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is secreted by the pituitary gland. It
causes growth and repair of body tissues including the muscles, the
skin, and the kidneys. Growth Hormone (GH) levels naturally rise
sharply throughout puberty and continue until our long bone growth
is completed between ages 20 and 25. At that point, GH levels begin
to decrease steadily and signs of aging appear. Historically, HGH
has been used to treat children who fail to make sufficient Growth
Hormone and more recently to treat adults with HGH deficiency. Injectable
molecular HGH, which is available by prescription, is very expensive
and when administered in doses that are too high can cause carpal
tunnel syndrome and edema. Alternative methods that may stimulate
the pituitary gland to naturally release its own supply of Growth
Hormone include diet and exercise, amino acids, and homeopathic formulations.
Anti-Aging benefits of higher levels of growth hormone may include:
|
|
Increased
vitality and energy |
|
|
Changes
in fat levels and location |
|
|
Increased
muscle mass |
 |
Thickening
of the skin |
 |
Improved
sleep |
 |
Enhanced
bone growth maintenance |
 |
Increased
lifespan |
Numerous studies on growth hormone have been published. One of the
most famous is the 1990 study published by the New England Journal
of Medicine and conducted by Daniel Rudman, M.D. and his colleagues,
which reported that growth hormone reversed aging in human subjects.
Specifically, in six months, the GH group showed an overall rejuvenation,
including an 8.8% increase in lean body mass and a loss of 14.4%
of body fat, without diets, exercise, or any change of lifestyle.
The control group showed no change. Dr. Leon Cass Terry, M.D., Ph.D.,
a former associate of Dr. Daniel Rudman, and Dr. Edmund Chein, M.D.
studied Growth Hormone by using low doses and high frequency GH injections.
Some results of their study found that 72% of the group lost body
fat and 88% noticed an increase in muscle strength.
Homeopathic
GH
There are over 30,000 studies written, reporting many positive results
on Growth Hormone. However, what plagued researchers most were
the side effects of GH. Dr. Edmund Chein in the early 1990's solved
this problem by devising a low dose (LD), high frequency (HF) system
of Growth Hormone therapy. He gave his patients very low doses
of GH once in the morning and once prior to sleep, six days a week.
When applied in this way, the Growth Hormone did not produce side
effects. This pointed directly to the principle of homeopathy.
Homeopathic
GH is prepared with a special manufacturing process homeopathically,
which many consider to be on the leading edge of
anti-aging. As clinicians have found that smaller doses of GH work
better and have no side effects, it reflects positively on the homeopathic
philosophy. The homeopathic form of GH may gently encourage the pituitary
to release and supplement GH, which could balance the body. This
is called homeostasis.
